The Ronald McDonald House of Delaware exists because the Delaware Valley community provides financial and in-kind support.  Individuals, businesses or community groups may donate in various ways.  Below are a few ways you too can support the “House that Love Built.” ®

All contributions will be acknowledged in writing for your records.  Donations of goods and services are also acknowledged; however, we do not place a value on these contributions.  Individual giving histories are available upon request by contacting Pam Jones at 302-656-4847 x119 or at p.jones@rmhde.org.

Unless specified as anonymous, all donors will be placed on the House mailing list to receive our newsletter along with other information about the House.  Our mailing list is not shared with any individuals or outside agencies.

Other Ways to Give

Bequests – A written will protects and distributes your assets following your death.  It is the best means to ensure that your wishes are carried out.  A percentage of your estate can be donated to the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware.

 

Charitable Gift Annuity – This form of gift allows you to help the children and families of the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware while earning a guaranteed income from your gift.  It also provides significant tax savings in the year the gift was made and in subsequent years as interest is paid to you.

 

Charitable Remainder Trust – You can donate an appreciated asset such as securities, bonds or real estate to the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware.  This method of giving avoids the capital gains tax which can make converting an asset to cash a very expensive process and it can provide a reliable source of interest income to you.  Often this income is higher that what was being earned from the original investment.

 

Corporate Matching –Many corporations offer employee gift matches.  Simply fill out the forms required by your corporation and send them to the House with your check   The Ronald McDonald House of Delaware will complete the remainder of the paperwork and will work with your company to do the rest.  What a wonderful gift to give twice as much to the families of the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware.

Host a Fundraiser – The Ronald McDonald House of Delaware would love to the beneficiary of one of your events.  The event can range from small to big and can include everything from an art gallery or restaurant opening to an athletic tournament.  Please contact Dawn Brooks at 302-656-4847 ext. 115 or d.brooks@rmhde.org to discuss prior to scheduling.
