Dear Supporter,
In April 2008 the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware will be hosting the Fourth Annual American Girl Fashion Show. We would like to present you with an opportunity to help us raise the funds needed to maintain the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware while helping you to advertise your business to a new group of perspective customers.
In 2007, over 2,000 moms, daughters, grand moms, aunts and special friends attended the show. Each show (we have a total of five) accommodates 400 people. Our 2008 Fashion Show is scheduled for Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6 at Clayton Hall, University of Delaware, Newark. Sponsorship opportunities range from $250 - $10,000 and offer recognition in a variety of ways including recognition on the American Girl invite, event signage, ad in the American Girl program book, tickets to the show and an opportunity to provide an item in the goodie bag.
The Ronald McDonald House of Delaware opened its doors in 1991 and during our 16 years of existence over 20,000 families stayed at our House. Families having a child undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital for a chronic or serious illness or injury can stay at the House for $15 per night. Our fee includes a hot meal each night and a place to share experiences of the day with all the other families staying in our House. We do not turn people away due to their inability to pay. Our average fee per night received during 2006 was $8.97 although the actual cost to us is $56. Events like American Girl help us raise the funds necessary to make up some of the disparity between our costs and what the families can pay.
We hope you will seriously consider becoming a part of our most exciting event. Please call us at (302) 428-5330 if we can answer any questions. All items are negotiable so if you have something in mind, please let’s talk about it.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and I hope to hear from you.
Sincerely,
| Dawn M. BrooksLaura Cook-Lemon Hewitt |
